Description
Electrical Engineer, Cambs. The main duties and responsibilities will be to contribute to the management and design of water and waste water schemes located both in the UK and overseas. This will include working in multi-disciplinary teams of civil, mechanical, process and electrical/C&I engineers. The candidate will be working in teams and therefore must be able to interact positively with senior and junior staff alike and within the client environment. The candidate will be required to take on aspects of project and programme management and be aware of and understand the commercial and financial consequences of their actions and the actions of others. Candidates should have a good multidisciplinary knowledge of their field and be able to positively advise other disciplines regarding aspects of their design as it impacts electrical engineering issues. Candidates will be expected to take on project management duties and be involved in the financial and commercial management and planning of projects. You will be expected to be progressive and imaginative in your work and strive to add value where possible for the benefit of the company and our clients. Typical duties for the electrical candidates would comprise preparation or supervision of preparation of drawings for plant general arrangements, power single line, cable block diagrams, instrumentation loop, P&IDs, control system architecture, cable, instrument and I/O schedules. To manage the production of documentation for control philosophies, functional design, tenders, schedule of prices, engineer's estimates and factory and site acceptance. The candidate will be required were necessary to supervise the work of more junior engineers and provide technical and professional guidance to assist their development. The Candidate should be prepared to spend period working away from base either in client offices, on project sites in the UK or overseas.
